Well, its finally done, Yesterday the newly renovated green was handed over to the Club.
After 22 weeks we can now play on the newly renovated green, after removal of old turf, aeration, fumigation, relaying of a new variety of turf (Tif Eagle) our green is ready for play.
On hand at the handover was our contractor, Trent Hobson from Twin View Turf, Board Chairman Shane Johnstone and our Greenkeeper Ed, and the first to roll up on our new green Cunningham District Bowls Association President, Graham Lewis.
This extensive renovation was achieved through the “Lord Mayors Better Suburbs Grant”. The Club appreciates the assistance provided by the Brisbane City Council, our local Councillor Steve Griffiths and all the many supporters of this project.
