The History of

Salisbury Community Sports Club

The Salisbury Bowls Club Inc. has been at its present location since 1976 when it was relocated from a site some 2km away. The club’s location at present is at 37 Ainsworth St, Salisbury QLD 4107.It was then known as the EDCO Bowls Club, this name having come from the Evans Deakin company who had given their employees permission to use company land to start a bowling club in 1942.

Since then the club has changed its name to Salisbury Community Sport Club and has become a big part of the community, hosting events such as Maggie’s Markets, family fun days and many fundraisers.
